Performance improvement highlights from June 2005 to June 2006
- Disconnected cell phones for commissioners, staff, and interns, eliminating over $200 per month in costs
- Redesigned regular commission meetings, making them shorter and easier to get to, while also cutting air, lodging, and per diem costs by 50%
- Curbed the use of rental cars by Commissioners, eliminating roughly $1,000 in travel costs per quarter while increasing the visibility of the Commission in local areas
Income from private fundraising has nearly doubled
