• 74% of All Black People in Washington live in King and Pierce Counties

• Nearly half of the state's Black population lives in King County

Note: Black people are 6% of the total population of King County.

• Just over one quarter of the state's Black population lives in Pierce County

Note: Black people are 7.6% of the total populaiton of Pierce County.

• About 19 percent of the state's Black population live in another five counties combined -- Snohomish, Spokane, Kitsap, Clark, and Thurston

• Small numbers of Black people are spread among the remaining 32 counties, accounting for all of the remaining 7.4% of the state's Black population
