Event agenda is still being finalized

Black Dollar Days Task Force

Community Walk, Bite and Jazz Festival 2007

This event August 25th. Its purpose is three-fold:

  • First, to gives all communities a time to have fun with family while walking through the minority business areas of the Central District to target businesses they can support.
  • Second, to raise funds to support small businesses and
  • Third, to serve as a networking tool for everyone

 

The walk & rally starts at Spruce Park with a speaker and registration. It is approximately a 2-mile walk and ends at Pratt Park.

 

Local Jazz bands are featured each year.

 

The event also features other performances and activities for the children.

 

There are various booths, such African clothing and jewelry, environmental concerns, and arts and crafts. This event gets better each year.

 

July 2, 2007 Special Note: The Task Force needs help. They are looking for Team Captains for the walk, sponsors, vendors and to help get the word out about this event.
