Langston Hughes African American Film Festival 2017

April 27-30, 2017. The Langston Hughes African American Film Festival 2017 presents over 20 independent films and special events. Beginning Thursday, April 27 with the Brilliant Bubbly Opening Reception in the Great Hall at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute—104 17th Ave South, Seattle, WA 98144. Other events include the panel discussion Do Black Heroes Matter?, an intimate conversation about Black heroes on-screen and in the world of comics., the Filmmakers Brunch and Closing Night celebration. Join special guests Saul Williams,  comic book writer David Walker, Charles Murray , Anisia Uzyeman, Nnegest Likke, Sol Aponte among others.
